The trailor was so impressive and  I was eagerly waiting for this movie, But i became little bit disappointed after watching the movie.

Shakuntala devi's story was portrayed not as a genius, mother or even a feminist. This was just angsty narration of her daughter towards her mother. I started this movie with excitement to watch a little girl whose father was in circus and she was never formally educated yet be a child prodigy. Her entire journey towards being this genius that we all know today but each time the narration cut forward it was with sarcasm. My expectations was to know that tricks or how she does those magic!

I know the end sums up everything in a brighter light yet the movie is just a drag of a  drama. Also the LGBTQIA angel was so badly mishandled, it was never about accusaton but a reaction of the society at that period would be interesting. When I say that I do not want to see people boycotting the topic as we normally see in any script pertaining to the subject but atleast the kind of awareness spread amongst others. The actors were phenomenal but the direction did not serve anything new and the script was just a daughter citing her issues with her mother-in-law.

So as a biopic I give 4star out of 5
